A Space We Wished Existed
In 2024, we looked around Kathmandu and saw a city full of brilliant, hungry minds — students preparing for board exams, professionals sharpening their skills, readers searching for their next great book — all scattered across noisy cafés and cramped apartments.
There was no dedicated, professionally managed space where serious readers could simply sit down and focus. We decided to build one.
Today, Readers Reading Room is home to over 500 active members and more than 10,000 carefully selected books. But more than a library or a study hall, it is a community — a place where Kathmandu's curious minds come to do their best thinking.
