Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of Readers Reading Room's physical space, mobile app, website, and any related services. By registering for a membership, booking a seat, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Membership & Accounts

Members sign up using their phone number and verify their account via a one-time password (OTP). Staff and admin accounts use an email and password.

You are responsible for keeping your login and member QR code secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or restrict an account that violates these terms or our house rules.

3. Using the Space

Please follow posted house rules and staff instructions while on the premises, including any quiet-zone policies on specific floors.

Attendance is tracked by scanning your member QR code on check-in and check-out.

4. Seat & Locker Bookings

Eligible members can reserve seats and lockers in advance through our mobile app, subject to availability. Bookings may be limited or cancelled if left unused, at our discretion.

5. Payments

We accept eSewa, Khalti, bank transfer, and cash at the front desk. Receipts are issued for all transactions.

Monthly memberships are non-refundable once any payment has been made, in part or in full. See our full Refund Policy for details.

6. Library & Book Borrowing

Eligible members may borrow books from our collection for a limited lending period. Books must be returned in the condition they were issued; lost or damaged books may incur a replacement charge.

7. Prohibited Conduct

While using our space or services, you agree not to:

• —Disrupt other members or violate posted quiet-zone or house rules.
• —Share your account, login, or member QR code with anyone else.
• —Use the space or app for any unlawful purpose.
• —Attempt to interfere with or gain unauthorized access to our systems.

8. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate a membership for violation of these terms, non-payment, or conduct that disrupts the space or other members. Suspended accounts are blocked from logging in.

9. Limitation of Liability

We take reasonable care to maintain a safe and functional space, but Readers Reading Room is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings brought onto the premises, except where caused by our negligence.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date on this page.
